Libby Logger Days

Libby Logger Days is a family event that celebrates the history of the logging industry in Libby and its contributions to the community.

Popular events include the parade, Bull and Bullette of the Woods, and logging-related competitions.

Ignite the Nites

Ignite the Nites car show is a chance to enjoy the neon-lights contest, a burn-out contest, a flame-throwing contest, a Friday night cruise, and a Saturday car show.

Libby Nordicfest

Nordicfest is a two-day celebration the second weekend of September that celebrates the rich Scandinavian heritage of the Libby region.

Visit during the event for music, food, arts & crafts, competitions, and cultural events. Visit the official site for more information.

Kootenai River Rodeo

The Kootenai River Rodeo is a Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) rodeo held in Libby in the last weekend in July.

In addition to the usual rodeo fare, the event also includes activities for children, vendor and food booths, and live entertainment every night.

Plan a family outing over the whole weekend of the rodeo. For more information as the event draws closer, contact the Chamber for more information or to purchase tickets.

Libby Irish Fair

The Irish Fair, always held the second Saturday in March, has been an annual event in Libby for more than the last 15 years. The event boasts an arts & crafts fair, live entertainment, raffles, and Irish-themed activities.

STOKR

The Scenic Tour of the Kootenai River (STOKR) is the annual bicycle tour of the Kootenai Valley for Habitat for Humanity. STOKR is a two-day event held the second weekend in May. Visit the official site for more information.

Two Rivers Rendezvous

Set in a location frequented by the native Kootenai Indians, the Two Rivers Rendezvous is held annually at the end of July in the lower Fisher River valley.

Participants commemorate the history of the American fur trade prior to 1840 in the region with competitions of skill. The event includes muzzleloading competitions, tomahawk throwing, and archery among others.

The event is conducted in period dress and accommodations.

Popular Events

Year round there's something to do in Libby. Beyond outdooors activities (see our Attractions page), the community organizes events for the family as well as for special interests.

The list on the left is by no means exhaustive, but captures some of the scope of the activities available for visitors and residents alike.

Old Fashioned Fourth of July in Troy, MT, and Koocanusa Resort & Marina Annual Fishing Derby.
